The Alesis Q25 USB MIDI controller keeps things simple. The Q25 sports a clean layout, not overloaded with pads, knobs, and sliders - but it's got the essentials: pitch and mod wheels, a volume/data entry slider, a MIDI/select button, Octave Up/Down buttons, a sustain pedal input, and traditional MIDI out for controlling external hardware. With no complicated setups and controls you'll never use, the Q25 is also easy to operate. It's even USB bus-powered, eliminating the need for a power supply. Sometimes less is more. If you like to keep things simple, we've got your controller - the Alesis Q25.
Ideal size
The Alesis Q25, with its 25-note keyboard, is ideal for grab-and-go performing or composing. The Q25 fits in a backpack and gives you the basics, including pitch and mod wheels, octave up/down buttons, and the facility to send program changes right from the keys.
You've got connections
The Alesis Q25 includes both USB-MIDI and a traditional MIDI out for instant connection to Mac, PC - and MIDI hardware. The Q25 is bus-powered, but can also be powered using a wall power adaptor (sold separately) when not using a computer. You also get a sustain pedal input on the back panel.
Big-time versatility
The Q25 ships with Ableton Live Lite Alesis Edition software for performing, recording, and sequencing music right out of the box. With its traditional MIDI out port, the Q25 is also a great choice for controlling MIDI hardware. Integrating a computer into your live set? With its petite size and light weight, you can place the Q25 a tier above an existing workstation for streamlined optimization of your expanded road rig.
